Who We Are
Rabbi David Wechsler-Azen, Founding Director, has twenty-five years experience in the non-profit sector. He has served in congregations ranging in size from 250 to 2,500 households. In addition, he created and ran “New Legends,” a non-profit “edutainment” enterprise, for five years, producing and originating the role of Adam in a touring musical about the beginnings of the environmental crisis in the Garden of Eden.
With a Fellowship in Film to Temple University, Rabbi David also developed a media production background. He has worked as writer, director and producer, including the award-winning Video Guide for Sunday School Teachers.
In keeping with being a descendant of Abraham and Sarah, Rabbi Wechsler-Azen seeks to help fulfill the call to the Jewish people to be a blessing to all the families of the earth.
Dr. Elizabeth Miller, Program Design and Evaluation, a member of the UC Davis Pediatrics Faculty and Staff, trained and worked in the department of Social Medicine at Harvard University and has many years of clinical and research experience in childhood and adolescent health.
Recipient of numerous awards and grants, Dr. Miller brings practical and theoretical excellence to the planning and implementation of this project.
Curtis Granger, Consultant, works with the Network for a Healthy California and has eighteen years of experience in produce marketing, management and strategy as an executive pursuing health and wellness.
He has developed a specialty in providing strategies for creating healthy food environments at worksites and other community level outlets based on extensive retail, foodservice and production/distribution channel experience.
Curtis has volunteered his extensive experience directing consumer and trade research, surveys, data analysis, strategy and tactical program development and execution and has a consistent record of delivering creative, result generating programs and major campaigns within budget constraints.
Rose Mary Swart, Program Manager, worked for the State of California for many years and implemented three statewide programs, including one program with 47 different locations.
Organized, versed in contracts, finances and administration, Rose Mary early on trained in nutrition education and brings a passion for helping young people and advocating for health to Fresh Producers.
Teresa Farley, Management Consultant, offers over 16 years of experience in project and operations management, with experience in Health Care Research, Public School, and Finance industries.
Focused on results, an effective leader with excellent management, organizational and planning skills, Teresa works at the UC Davis Health Research Center.
